Courier Express account and data deletion

1. Request deletion

You can request deletion of your Courier Express Malta customer account or Courier Express Driver account through the deletion option inside the app.

If you cannot use the app, email hr@courierexpressmalta.com with the subject Courier Express account deletion. Tell us which app you use and the email address or telephone number associated with your account. Where possible, send the request from your registered email address.

Please do not send passwords, verification codes, full payment card details or an identity document with your initial request. We may request proportionate information if needed to verify the account.

2. What happens to your account

Once the deletion request is processed, the account is deactivated. Associated personal account data is deleted from production systems after 30 days during which the account remains unused.

If you use or reactivate the account during those 30 days, you will need to submit a new deletion request to start a new 30 day deletion period.

Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. An account that is only suspended or deactivated has not completed deletion.

3. Information that may remain

Some delivery, transaction or other records may need to remain for legal obligations, security or unresolved claims. Removing a driver account does not necessarily remove historical delivery records retained for a separate lawful purpose. We can explain the records, reasons and applicable periods when handling your request.

The mobile apps do not maintain a separate backup of user data. The 30 day production deletion process does not promise removal of every server backup or external service record within that period. External services may retain records under their applicable policies, and logout or identifier detachment does not necessarily delete all associated records.
